Guide, Mario & Luigi: Superstar Saga + Bowser's Minions

Bros. Points (commonly abbreviated as BP) are a special stat found in Mario & Luigi: Superstar Saga, Mario & Luigi: Dream Team, Mario & Luigi: Paper Jam and Mario & Luigi: Superstar Saga + Bowser's Minions. Bros. Points behave similarly to the Flower Points of Super Mario RPG: Legend of the Seven Stars and the first two Paper Mario games in that they are used to perform special moves, which in the Mario & Luigi series are known as Bros. Attacks. Bros. Points are increased each time Mario or Luigi level up. Mario starts most games with more Bros. Points than Luigi. Recovering Bros. Points can be done with certain items, with Syrup Jars offering the most basic form of recovery. Various healing services in each game can fully restore both HP and BP.

Bros. Attacks have to be learned in each game, and the characters start out with no Bros. Attacks. Regardless, Bros. Points are always present in the user interface during battle. Bros. Points are absent in Mario & Luigi: Partners in Time as Bros. Attacks are replaced with Bros. Items, which are consumable items.

In Mario & Luigi: Superstar Saga and Mario & Luigi: Superstar Saga + Bowser's Minions, the meter in the image with the red and green ball shows how many Bros. Points Mario and Luigi have. Mario and Luigi start with an equal number of Bros. Points in the original Mario & Luigi: Superstar Saga.

In Mario & Luigi: Bowser's Inside Story, Bros. Points are renamed "Special Points" (SP), due to Bowser having his own Special Attacks involving his minions. The Nintendo 3DS remake, Mario & Luigi: Bowser's Inside Story + Bowser Jr.'s Journey, went back to using Bros. Points for Mario and Luigi and introduced Brawl Points for Bowser.

Bros. Points return in Mario & Luigi: Dream Team, behaving exactly like the first game. In the Dream World, Luiginary Attacks replace Bros. Attacks, so Bros. Points are additionally spent for Luignary Attacks. The Green Shell icon used for representing Special Points in Mario & Luigi: Bowser's Inside Story is used to represent Bros. Points in this game.

In Mario & Luigi: Paper Jam, Bros. Points reappear again, where they function the same way they did in the previous two games. They can also be used for Trio Attacks controlled by Paper Mario. Trio Attacks cost more Bros. Points than Bros. Attacks, but Paper Mario starts the game with the most Bros. Points out of the three characters.
