Automatic integrity protection

Turn on automatic integrity protection to defend against tampering and redistribution of your app (this feature is available to select Play partners).

Manage and protect your app signing key on Google’s secure infrastructure and access upgrade options to increase security.

Best practices

  • Use Play Integrity API to understand your existing install base and estimate the potential impact of any changes to functionality that you want to make.

  • Opt in to new Play Integrity API verdicts to see if Play Protect is turned on or has found known malware and to see if other apps are running that could be used to capture the screen or control the device.

  • Turn on automatic integrity protection either from your first release or from a release which includes significant changes to maximize protection.
