It seems like the bug is from the erasing - the app still reports objects taking up space. See ticket for video.

`The admittedly-long Subject line completely describes this bug in its entirety. Screen
recording of this issue is attached (see below).
A note: I’m not trying to delete the saved articles from my account. I synced with it to
update its list of Saved articles, then logged out after that was completed, intending to
remove the data downloaded during the Syncing operation in order to free up local storage
space on my device. (A perfect analog is how Google Photos works.) `
