Lulu Lake is a recurring location in The Legend of Zelda series.[1][2][3]

Features and Overview

Breath of the Wild

Lulu Lake is a small lake in the Lanayru Great Spring. It is located east of Mikau Lake and on a higher ridge. The Lake is one of the shortcuts to the top of Ploymus Mountain, being accessible by Swimming up its Waterfall while wearing the Zora Armor.[4] East of the Lake is the History of the Zora, Addendum 2.[5] Before Divine Beast Vah Ruta is calmed, Lulu Lake will be constantly under the effect of its Rain.[6]

Prior to the Great Calamity, Lulu Lake was the site where Mipha faced part of her Divine Beast Tamer's Trial in order to become a Champion.[7] During the Main Quest "EX Champion Mipha's Song", which is exclusive to The Champions' Ballad Downloadable Content pack, Link is tasked with repeating this Trial, which involves Swimming through the Glowing Rings along the Lake's Waterfall.[8]

In Master Mode, a wooden platform carried by Sky Octoroks will appear above Lulu Lake. On it is a Metal Chest containing a Silver Bow.

During the Quest "Scouting the Training Ground", Sidon decides to host his Waterfall-climbing class at Lulu Lake, and he wants to inspect it without disturbing the Lynel on Ploymus Mountain nearby.[3] With Stealth-boosting Materials, Sidon confirms that the Lake is a good fit for his class, but he needs someone to defeat the Lynel beforehand.[9] In the Quest "Duel on Ploymus Mountain", Urbosa is tasked with clearing out the Lynel, which allows the Zora to move forward with their class.[10][11]

As part of the Quest "Training at Lulu Lake", Sidon is finally able to start his Waterfall-climbing class, but he needs speed-boosting Materials for his students.[12] Using the Materials, Sidon's students are able to master climbing Waterfalls, and their eager attitudes inspire him to work even harder with his own training.[13]

  3. OK, Link. Let's get moving. The fastest way to Ploymus Mountain is to ascend the waterfall east of the domain! That Zora armor should come in handy. Just swim to the waterfall basin, and then go up the waterfall from there! I'll wait at East Reservoir Lake, right by the Divine Beast.
