Restless Crickets can be found almost anywhere in Hyrule by cutting Grass with any Sword or looking under Rocks. When found, they will hop away two or three times before flying away and disappearing unless Link is sneaking. They're sold by the traveling merchant Gartan and by Beedle at Dueling Peaks Stable and Outskirt Stable. Using a Restless Cricket in a Cooking Pot with Monster Parts will result in an Energizing Elixir, which will restore Link's Stamina when used.[1] They can also be used at the Kochi Dye Shop as an ingredient to make Green Dye.

The Side Quest "A Gift for My Beloved" involves Link asking Prima what she likes on behalf of Manny. She will say crickets as an excuse, claiming that it's her dream to own one hundred of them.[4][5] Upon hearing this information, Manny will ask Link to gather ten Restless Crickets for him while he collects the rest.[6] Manny gives Link a Silver Rupee when the Restless Crickets are delivered.
