EU Foreign Policy
The European Union's foreign policy - overseen by the High Representative for Foreign and Security Policy - has four key aims: to support stability, promote human rights and democracy, spread prosperity, and support the enforcement of the rule of law and good governance. The policy instruments available to the EU's foreign policy range from bilateral agreements to guidelines and legislation.
The EU has bilateral relations with countries in all regions and continents of the world. A network of 145 EU Delegations represents the European Union vis-à-vis the authorities and the population of the respective host countries.
