Hmmm...
To do:
A Japanese non-playable demo is available online. Document it.

Sonic Drift is the first instance of Sonic using his most counterintuitive method of speed - a car. It inexplicably never released outside of Japan (despite being planned to) before being included in Sonic Adventure DX: Director's Cut nearly a decade later (and subsequently in many future compilations as well), though its sequel did manage to see a worldwide release.

Present in the title screen's VRAM is an alternate version of the logo with harsher shading and sharper corners. This logo can be seen in a prerelease screenshot.

While Sonic's hand is fully drawn for his ending, the leftmost 8 pixels are cut off in-game.

An annoyed Eggman tapping his foot, intended for Tails' ending. The game uses a static graphic baked into the background layer instead.
