     Mary Howe was born on 3 November 1725.2 She was the daughter of Major William Howe and Elizabeth Pauncefote.1 She married Sir George Smith, 1st Bt., son of Abel Smith and Jane Beaumont, on 18 August 1747.1 She died on 18 May 1761 at age 35.1 She was buried at East Stoke, Nottinghamshire, EnglandG.2
     Her married name became Smith.

     Sir George Smith, 1st Bt. was born from 1714 to 1715.2 He was the son of Abel Smith and Jane Beaumont.1 He married, firstly, Mary Howe, daughter of Major William Howe and Elizabeth Pauncefote, on 18 August 1747.1 He married, secondly, Catherine Vyse, daughter of Reverend William Vyse and Catherine Smallbrooke, on 23 February 1768.1 He died on 5 September 1769.2 He was buried at East Stoke, Nottinghamshire, EnglandG.2
     He was created 1st Baronet Smith, of East Stoke, co. Nottingham [Great Britain] on 31 October 1757.1 He held the office of High Sheriff of Nottinghamshire from 1758 to 1759.1 He lived at East Stoke, Nottinghamshire, EnglandG.1

Sir George Pauncefote-Bromley, 2nd Bt.1

     Sir George Pauncefote-Bromley, 2nd Bt. was born on 18 August 1753 at St. Nicholas, Nottingham, Nottinghamshire, EnglandG.2 He was the son of Sir George Smith, 1st Bt. and Mary Howe.1 He married Hon. Esther Curzon, daughter of Assheton Curzon, 1st Viscount Curzon of Penn and Esther Hanmer, on 8 January 1778 at Rugeley, Staffordshire, EnglandG.2 He died on 17 August 1808 at age 54.1 His will was proven (by probate) in December 1808.2
     He was given the name of George Smith at birth.1 He succeeded as the 2nd Baronet Smith, of East Stoke, co. Nottingham [G.B., 1757] on 5 September 1769.1 He held the office of Sheriff of Gloucestershire in 1775.2 On 7 February 1778 his name was legally changed to George Bromley by sign manual.1 On 6 April 1803 his name was legally changed to George Pauncefote-Bromley by Royal Licence.1

     Admiral Sir Robert Howe Bromley, 3rd Bt. was born on 28 November 1778 at East Stoke, Nottinghamshire, EnglandG.2 He was the son of Sir George Pauncefote-Bromley, 2nd Bt. and Hon. Esther Curzon.1 He married Anne Wilson, daughter of Daniel Wilson and Sarah Harper, on 8 June 1812.1 He died on 8 July 1857 at age 78 at East Stoke, Nottinghamshire, EnglandG.3
     He was commissioned in 1791, in the service of the Royal Navy.2 He succeeded as the 3rd Baronet Smith, of East Stoke, co. Nottingham [G.B., 1757] on 17 August 1808.1 He held the office of Sheriff of Nottinghamshire from 1816 to 1817.3 He gained the rank of Vice-Admiral of the Red in 1848.2 He gained the rank of Vice-Admiral of the Blue in 1851.2 He gained the rank of Vice-Admiral of the White in 1854.1,2

     Anne Wilson was the daughter of Daniel Wilson and Sarah Harper.1,2 She married Admiral Sir Robert Howe Bromley, 3rd Bt., son of Sir George Pauncefote-Bromley, 2nd Bt. and Hon. Esther Curzon, on 8 June 1812.1 She died on 6 March 1873 at 58 Park Street, Grosvenor Square, London, EnglandG.3
     Her married name became Bromley.

     Robert Bromley was born on 13 November 1815.1 He was the son of Admiral Sir Robert Howe Bromley, 3rd Bt. and Anne Wilson.1 He died on 30 December 1850 at age 35 at Stoke Hall, EnglandG, unmarried.2
     He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for South Nottinghamshire from 1849 to 1850.2

     Sir Henry Bromley, 4th Bt. was born on 5 December 1816 at East Stoke, Nottinghamshire, EnglandG.3,4 He was the son of Admiral Sir Robert Howe Bromley, 3rd Bt. and Anne Wilson.1 He married, firstly, Charlotte Frances Anne Rolleston, daughter of Colonel Lancelot Rolleston and Caroline Chetwynd, in 1848.1 He married, secondly, Georgiana Ellen Fane, daughter of Vere Fane and Elizabeth Chaplin, on 3 February 1856.1 He died on 21 September 1895 at age 78 at Stoke Hall, EnglandG.4 His will was proven (by probate), at £32,925.4
     He gained the rank of Captain in the 48th Regiment.1 He gained the rank of Captain Commandant in 1850 in the 3rd Nottinghamshire Rifle Volunteers.4 He held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.)1 He held the office of Deputy Lieutenant (D.L.)1 He succeeded as the 4th Baronet Smith, of East Stoke, co. Nottingham [G.B., 1757] on 8 July 1857.1
