Edith Mary Hildyard was born in 1850 at Flintham, Nottinghamshire, England.2 She was the daughter of Thomas Blackborne Thoroton Hildyard and Anne Margaret Rochfort.1 She married Edward Bromley, son of Admiral Sir Robert Howe Bromley, 3rd Bt. and Anne Wilson, on 28 March 1895.1 She died on 1 July 1928 at Ampthill, Bedfordshire, England.1

Thomas Blackborne Thoroton Hildyard was born on 8 April 1821.2 He was the son of Colonel Thomas Blackborne Thoroton-Hildyard and Anne Catherine Whyte. He married Anne Margaret Rochfort, daughter of Colonel John Staunton Rochfort and Mary Burgh, on 3 May 1842.3 He died on 19 March 1888 at age 66.2
