     Colonel Gerald Montagu Smith was born on 4 June 1881.¹ He was the son of Reverend Orlando Spencer Smith and Theodosia England.² He married Iris Mary Seymour, daughter of Richard Arthur Hamilton Seymour and Charlotte Elizabeth Baillie-Hamilton, on 16 July 1912.¹ He died on 9 October 1951 at age 70.¹
     He was educated at Eton College, Windsor, Berkshire, England.¹ He fought in the First World War, where he was wounded three times and mentioned in despatches three times.¹ He was awarded the Distinguished Service Order (D.S.O.) in 1917.¹ He gained the rank of Colonel in the Royal Artillery.¹ He was Permanent President of the Selection Board for Officers, War Office.¹

     Nicholas Charles Samuel Montagu was born on 12 January 2012.¹ He is the son of Rupert Anthony Samuel Montagu and Nancy B. Wilson.¹

     Iris Mary Seymour was the daughter of Richard Arthur Hamilton Seymour and Charlotte Elizabeth Baillie-Hamilton.² She married Colonel Gerald Montagu Smith, son of Reverend Orlando Spencer Smith and Theodosia England, on 16 July 1912.¹ She died on 4 May 1967.¹
     From 16 July 1912, her married name became Smith.

     John Seymour Smith was born on 24 June 1913.¹ He was the son of Colonel Gerald Montagu Smith and Iris Mary Seymour.² He died on 17 November 1937 at age 24.¹

     Judith Smith was born on 17 October 1917.¹ She was the daughter of Colonel Gerald Montagu Smith and Iris Mary Seymour.² She married Harry Illtyd Lee, son of Charles Wilfred Lee, on 9 March 1940.¹ She died on 14 July 1998 at age 80.¹
     From 9 March 1940, her married name became Lee.

     Charles Wilfred Lee held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.)¹

     Harry Illtyd Lee was the son of Charles Wilfred Lee.² He married Judith Smith, daughter of Colonel Gerald Montagu Smith and Iris Mary Seymour, on 9 March 1940.¹ He died in 1985.¹
     He lived at Popple Hill, Graffham, Sussex, England.¹

     James Seymour Lee was born on 20 November 1945.¹ He was the son of Harry Illtyd Lee and Judith Smith.² He married, firstly, Sally Hill-Brookes, daughter of Edwin Hector Gordon Hill-Brookes, in 1967.¹ He and Sally Hill-Brookes were divorced.¹ He married, secondly, Hannah Marion Teresa Lennon, daughter of Patrick Joseph Lennon, in 1978.¹ He and Hannah Marion Teresa Lennon were divorced in 2002.³ He died on 31 July 2023 at age 77.⁴
     He was also known as James Lee.¹ He was educated at Down House School, Northiam, Sussex, England.¹ He was a film director.¹ He lived in 2003 at 71 Sumner Place Mews, London, England.¹

     Edwin Hector Gordon Hill-Brookes was awarded the Air Force Cross (A.F.C.)¹

     Sally Hill-Brookes is the daughter of Edwin Hector Gordon Hill-Brookes.² She married James Seymour Lee, son of Harry Illtyd Lee and Judith Smith, in 1967.¹ She and James Seymour Lee were divorced.¹
     From 1967, her married name became Lee.
