Cecilia Frances Farrer was the daughter of Thomas Farrer and Cecilia Willis.1 She married Stafford Henry Northcote, 1st Earl of Iddesleigh, son of Henry Stafford Northcote and Agnes Mary Cockburn, on 5 August 1843.1 She died on 17 January 1910.1
She was appointed Imperial Order of the Crown of India (C.I.)1 From 5 August 1843, her married name became Northcote. After her marriage, Cecilia Frances Farrer was styled as Countess of Iddesleigh on 3 July 1885.

Walter Stafford Northcote, 2nd Earl of Iddesleigh was born on 7 August 1845.1 He was the son of Stafford Henry Northcote, 1st Earl of Iddesleigh and Cecilia Frances Farrer.2 He married Elizabeth Lucy Meysey-Thompson, daughter of Sir Harry Stephen Meysey-Thompson, 1st Bt. and Elizabeth Anne Croft, on 23 September 1868.1 He died on 26 May 1927 at age 81, without surviving male issue.1
He was Commissioner, deputy-chairman and chairman of the Board of Inland Revenue between 1877 and 1892.1 He was appointed Companion, Order of the Bath (C.B.) in 1887.1 He succeeded as the 2nd Viscount Saint Cyres of Newton Saint Cyres, co. Devon [U.K., 1885] on 12 January 1887.1 He succeeded as the 2nd Earl of Iddesleigh [U.K., 1885] on 12 January 1887.1 He succeeded as the 9th Baronet Northcote, of Hayne, co. Devon [E., 1641] on 12 January 1887.1 He held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.) for Devon.1

Stafford Harry Northcote, Viscount Saint Cyres was born on 29 August 1869.1 He was the son of Walter Stafford Northcote, 2nd Earl of Iddesleigh and Elizabeth Lucy Meysey-Thompson.2 He married Dorothy Morrison, daughter of Alfred Morrison and Mabel Chermside, on 9 July 1912.1 He died on 2 February 1926 at age 56, without issue.1
