Talk:Lobby
Canon name
The Battle Lobby is referred to in-game as Lobby. Is there a reason or other references that use Battle Lobby? Slate Talk Contribs 14:16, 22 August 2015 (UTC)
- I don't think so. Honestly I just made the page because everyone else on the wiki linked to/referred to it as the "Battle Lobby". Plus, most people use the word "Lobby" to describe the places you wait for people to connect to play battles. I figured I'd cater to what people would know, not what's actually canon. I just don't know how you would refer to them otherwise. - IanMS00 talk 00:55, 23 August 2015 (UTC)
- I feel slightly ridiculous replying to a message from over 7 years ago, but I think it is strange that the page is called "Battle Lobby", when it is just called "Lobby" in game and in social media posts from Nintendo. Would it be possible to move it to "Lobby" and move the existing page there to something like "Lobby (song)". I think it is an issue that searching for "Lobby" returns the page for the song and not the actual lobby. GX_64 (talk) 11:11, 14 October 2022 (UTC)
So bringing this back up a second time (and with the song no longer being a problem due to conveniently being renamed Inkopolis Lobby), I can't remember a single time this has been officially called the "Battle Lobby", so it's very strange for the page to still be keeping that name after all these years. It's always just called "lobby" (pretty sure lowercase is the standard, e.g. in all the shopkeeper dialogue about it). Is a rename in order? Hewer (talk · contributions) 22:04, 2 March 2024 (UTC)
"S1 and S2 songs in the S3 lobby" trivia
Currently, we have a trivia point about how some Splatoon and Splatoon 2 songs can play in the Splatoon 3 lobby, which recently got expanded by @The Thing. This information is already contained in the Music section of this article, so I wonder if it still needs restating in the trivia? I assume that the trivia was written before the Music got fully put on the page. I would argue that since the information is now properly catalogued in the main part of the article, the trivia point could get removed entirely, but I also wanted to get confirmation before going ahead and deleting it. - The Music section doesn't contain complete coverage at this time, we would want a full table listing all S1 and S2 songs alongside the new S3 ones. The trivia point is indeed redundant though, feel free to remove it. Yoshifan52 (talk) 23:10, 6 October 2024 (UTC)
