Hello, since yesterday, title of the section looks thick/bold and there is also a "read as wiki page" button at the bottom of the page. E.g. see https://bn.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/আলাপ:বাংলাদেশ.

hi @Aftabuzzaman – a few thoughts in response to what you shared above...

  1. Thank you for reporting the unexpected change in the way mobile talk page section titles appear! What you experienced is in fact a bug that we are fixing now. See: T312683.
  2. Can you share what is unexpected to you about the Read as wiki page link that appears at the bottom of the page? Are you surprised by the fact that that link is present at all? Are you surprised that the link is not translated into Bangla? Something else? So you're aware, the Read as wiki page link was present on mobile talk pages before the deployment of the mobile Reply and New Topic Tools.
  3. The change in appearance of the talk page section aside, if you have tried the new interfaces for replying to specific comments and starting new topics, we'd value hearing what you think about them :)

Are you surprised by the fact that that link is present at all?

Yes, i meant this. Right now it's doing almost nothing except showing a pencil icon when you click on it.

There might be another bug. I noticed it since yesterday. Go to the same page above and click "Read as wiki page", the reply tool is gone/not present (related to T312683?).

Understood and it's accurate for you to think that tapping the Read as wiki page link has a relatively limited impact right now...

As you mentioned, it reveals a view that: A) shows edit pencils next to each section heading and hides the [ reply ] links.

With the above in mind, I can see why you'd come to question the usefulness of this element.

And while we have longer term plans to remove the Read as wiki page link (T280417), in the short-term, the view the Read as wiki page reveals will start to differ more greatly from the default talk page view as we deploy more of the design changes we have planned. You can see the designs we are working on below and try them out for yourself on this test wiki:

This is intentional. See above.

hi @Aftabuzzaman – I'm going to resolve this task since I haven't heard from you in a week.

Although, please re-open this if you would value talking more about anything I said in T298221#8066926.
