This task is about identifying the Wikipedias we will work most closely with in designing and developing mobile DiscussionTools.
Objectives
This section contains the objective of/reason for working with a subset of wikis as partners in the New Discussion Tool design and development processes.
Partner with a select number of wikis to help ensure mobile web talk pages enable:
- Junior Contributors to immediately recognize talk pages as places to communicate with other volunteers.
- Junior and Senior Contributors to be able to intuitively and with greater ease:
- a) Respond to something someone else has said
- b) Start a discussion about something new
- c) Know when someone is saying something relevant to them
Activities
Below is a non-exhaustive list of things we will collaborate with volunteers at our to-be-defined partner wikis on.
- Share feedback about issues they encounter with the mobile talk page experiences (read: MobileFrontend overlay + "Read as wiki page" view)
- Use mobile DiscussionTools once they are deployed to identify and share feedback about their experiences using them
- Identify areas for improvement or enhancements a future phase of the Talk Pages Project will consider

Partner Project Selection Criteria
The criteria in this section are borrowed from the Talk pages project/Partner wiki selection sheet.
- Wikis with some number of Senior Contributors who use mobile talk pages each month, so that we have a "built-in" audience we can approach about trialing new mobile DiscussionTool features. See T295180.
- Wikis that receive a consistent flow of newcomers each month, so that we can increase the likelihood the experiences we're designing meet Junior Contributors' needs
- Wikis whose contributor bases are representative of the world at-large, specifically people who are underrepresented in the Movement. [i]
- The above amounts to seeking a group of partner wikis that possess the following qualities:
- Write in an RTL language
- Write in a non-Latin script
- Contributor bases include significant populations of people from/living in East Asia and Africa
- The above amounts to seeking a group of partner wikis that possess the following qualities:
/Read: we are seeking wikis that that use RTL and LTR languages, wikis whose editors bases includes significant populations of people living in East Asia and Africa, non-Latin scripts.
