With Family Link, you decide what’s best for your family. Easy to use tools allow you to understand how your child is spending time on their device, share location, manage privacy settings, and more.

Our devices open up a world of information for us to explore, sparking our curiosity and creativity. But when it comes to our children using those same devices, things can get tricky. We know that parents want them to explore online and be inspired, but also that families feel differently about what children should be able to do on their device. That’s why we developed the Family Link app.

How Family Link works

Whether your children are younger or in their teens, the Family Link app lets you set digital ground rules to help guide them as they learn, play, and explore online. Parents can set up a Google Account for someone under 13 (or applicable age in your country)and manage that account with Family Link. Parents can also manage a teen’s existing Google Account and Android or ChromeOS devices. Starting with Android 10, Family Link will be accessible on all Android phones within Settings under “Digital Wellbeing and parental controls.”
