Eli Whitney

Eli Whitney (8 Disember 1765 – 8 Januari 1825) ialah seorang guru di Amerika Syarikat. Kemudian, beliau sangat berminat untuk mencipta jentera yang dapat membantu para petani. Hasil daripada kajiannya, beliau telah berjaya mencipta jentera yang dapat memisahkan kapas daripada bijinya. Ciptaan beliau telah meningkatkan ekspot kapas Amerika Syarikat.
