[The informatics sector and the advancing economies]

Abstract
A szerzõ azt vizsgálja, milyen csatornákon keresztül mozdíthatja elõ az informatikai szektor a világgazdaság centrumán kívüli gazdaságok modernizációját. Az informatikai feldolgozóiparnak a „globális iparág” sajátosságaiból következõen jelentõs felzárkóztatási hatása van. A felzárkózó országok azonban nem elég tõkeerõsek ahhoz, hogy az információs forradalom vívmányaival a „régi gazdaság” iparágait is modernizálják. Az informatikai szolgáltatások felzárkóztatási hatását mutatja a tevékenységre jellemzõ növekvõ hozadékráta. Az ágazat elvileg lehetõvé teszi, hogy jelentõs humántõkével rendelkezõ, ám számottevõ fizikai tõkefelhalmozásra önállóan képtelen országok is komoly pozíciót tölthessenek be az új érték termelésében. A felzárkóztatási hatás kemény korlátja azonban a tevékenység erõteljes függése a belföldi piaci kereslettõl, ahol a növekvõ hozadék kevéssé érvényesíthetõ. Ráadásul, az informatikai szolgáltatások legdinamikusabban növekvõ és a nemzetközi kereskedelembe is bekerülõ szegmense, a dobozolt szoftverek esetében, csupán a termék elõállításakor érvényesül a növekvõ hozadék elve. Az értékesítéskor azonnal megjelenik a világgazdaság perifériáján jól ismert tõkekorlát.* Journal of Economic Literature (JEL) kód: O10, O14, O33, F23.
