¿Es rentable la decisión de estudiar en Colombia?

Abstract
En este artículo se estudia la dinámica de los retornos de la educación en Colombia entre 1985 y 2000. La metodología econométrica incluye una ecuación de salarios con splines lineales y regresiones por percentiles (RP). Se muestra que los retornos varían a través de diferentes niveles de escolaridad; así, los retornos son altos con educación universitaria; también, como se esperaba, con educación postuniversitaria se tienen retornos altos en algunos anos de la muestra. La evidencia proporcionada por RP muestra un comportamiento cíclico del salario real; además, esta metodología también muestra una distribución condicional heterogénea del salario.
