Wikipedia translation of the week: 2024-51

The Mars ocean theory states that nearly a third of the surface of Mars was covered by an ocean of liquid water early in the planet's geologic history. This primordial ocean, dubbed Paleo-Ocean or Oceanus Borealis (/oʊˈsiːənəs ˌbɒriˈælɪs/ oh-SEE-ə-nəs BORR-ee-AL-iss), would have filled the basin Vastitas Borealis in the northern hemisphere, a region that lies 4–5 km (2.5–3 miles) below the mean planetary elevation, at a time period of approximately 4.1–3.8 billion years ago. Evidence for this ocean includes geographic features resembling ancient shorelines, and the chemical properties of the Martian soil and atmosphere

Hello @KEmel49, I noticed that the citation in the article points to a "blob" URL (2024-12-09_01311 (Lloyd Chu) Resolution 28 November 2024.pdf "Department of Justice Resolution") which results in a non-clickable link. When this citation is clicked, it does not direct users to an actual accessible resource. Blob URLs are temporary, session-based links that do not provide a stable or publically accessible destination, making them unsuitable for reliable citations on Wikipedia.

For proper citation, I suggest replacing the blob URL with a direct, permanent URL from a stable, publicly accessible platform such as the Department of Justice website or another appropriate repository. This will ensure that the citation is both clickable and accessible to all users, adhering to Wikipedia’s citation guidelines.

Thank you for your contributions to the article, and I appreciate your attention to this issue. Click here to know my name (talk) 18:27, 19 December 2024 (UTC)[reply]

@Sheikbaba36524, Yes you are right, the url parameter of {{Cite web}} should have valid web address but the one you are referring to has invalid url that's why an error appeared. While cleaning up Category:CS1 errors: URL, i have encountered this reference and added a relatable reference to the paragraph. I don't have any other edit to that page except the mentioned one nor i have added that invalid URL, But i have left message to that editors talk page who had added that URL.––kemel49(connect)(contri) 09:47, 20 December 2024 (UTC)[reply]
