Changes and notes

[edit]

Some notes from my update on 20 March 2018:

  • The date of death was out by a day. Hugman and others have got 30 Jan, but this is just the date it was reported (I've noticed that Hugman do this quite often). The Telegraph obit[1] and theyflysohigh have the correct date (Steve Marsh actually pointed this out to me and has sent me a pic of the 'order of service', which confirms the date).
  • The Southern League stats were out by 1 app and 4 goals. There wasn't a source for those and I haven't been able to work out why. I've changed them to the stats per coludata and updated the totals.
  • The Who's Who of West Ham United states that Keeble scored in the '55 Cup Final. This is also mentioned in the Newham Recorder ref (presumably referenced from Hogg). He didn't.
  • A couple of the Newcastle bits are sourced from The Toon's Greatest 100 Players...EVER! by Kevin Fletcher. This was published on the generally frowned-upon Lulu.com, but as the author has written other published works[2] I don't see an issue with reliability myself.
