Disambiguation

[edit]

shouldn't there be a disambiguation on "Verbal_Abuse" I thought I was reading about the act of verbal abuse. 71.113.106.92

Agreed! Is there no article about verbal abuse itself?
Also, the page appears to be vandalized: It opens with "Verbal Abuse is preformed much too often by Joseph Young, especially toward his vertically challened friends." --63.25.26.137 20:49, 3 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]
I, eh, "fixed" the vandalism. In a way. I'm sorry . . . but not sorry enough to not have done it in the first place. --63.25.26.137 21:00, 3 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Not only should there be an article about actual verbal abuse, but I suggest this band is not notable enough to warrant a Wikipedia entry. It reads as if written by a member of the band, who undoubtedly had time on his hands while the singer was in prison. The band apparently doesn't even have its own web site or even a myspace page. The article itself is long and detailed, but strictly fancruft. By no means am I saying the band sucks (I've never heard them), but that they simply aren't noteworthy enough for a Wikipedia article. --63.25.26.137 21:06, 3 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Slayer covered one of their Songs on their Undisputed Attitude album and a google search for "verbal abuse" hardcore gives about 90k results. I'm not an expert on this topic but this indicates that they were a not unimportant band in the 80s hardcore scene. DaHansen 01:43, 12 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

There is a MySpace page for Verbal Abuse (MySpace.com/verbalabuserocks), and there is a website, too (verbalabusetheband.com). Also, if you search YouTube you will find a few performance clips, both of poor video quality due to the age and format used, no doubt. On a sidenote: I served in Germany, 141st Signal battalion, with Brett Dodwell.````(User:TsetenSun) 11:55 eastern, 16 January 2008

Does anybody have access to Urban Guerilla Zine #11 or the other interview listed in the references? I tried updating the zine link, but being able to cite the zine itself would've been preferred. The link to the second interview is fully broken as far as I'm aware.
