High school's article page

[edit]

No mention of the shooting on the actual high-school's page. It may not have been at the actual school, but both were students of the school as was their victim. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pocatello_High_School Majinsnake (talk) 11:23, 6 August 2012 (UTC)majinsnake[reply]

The murder is now mentioned in the WP article on the Pocatello high school. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 2A00:23CC:B58D:5E01:44ED:BBE4:E218:672A (talk) 10:43, 22 July 2023 (UTC)[reply]

'Film' or 'movie'

[edit]

Another editor insists on changing two out of three instances of 'movie' into 'film' because that is supposedly 'better'. I disagree. How do others feel about this? Richard 18:24, 26 February 2018 (UTC)[reply]

P.S.: the 'better' is based on 'movie' being American English. However, the first use of the word seems okay by him (at least, that instance is left alone) and he does not mind 'movie theater' either. Richard 18:35, 26 February 2018 (UTC)[reply]

I do not mind movie theater, because that is the title of the main article. The alternative is "cinema", which might be ambiguous. Dimadick (talk) 10:00, 28 February 2018 (UTC)[reply]

And you don't think 'film' is ambiguous? Also: why change two out of three occurences (as I mentioned before)? Richard 10:08, 28 February 2018 (UTC)[reply]
Which one did I miss.? Dimadick (talk) 10:52, 28 February 2018 (UTC)[reply]
The one under 'background' (as I mentioned before as well). I'll change that one for the sake of internal consistency, but I still think it was not necessary to change movie into film in the first place. Even if 'movie' is used rarely in the UK, it is well understood – especially when used in context. Richard 11:54, 28 February 2018 (UTC)[reply]

There should be photographs of Adamcik and Draper in this article. I seem to have copyright problems. Asd567asd567 (talk) 10:56, 22 July 2023 (UTC)[reply]
