This reads like a press bio written by Samaha himself, with a single sentence about his criminal activities tacked on. The only thing this guy is notable for (besides producing a lot of lousy movies) is the racketeering he was convicted for. How about expanding on that, and not his Hollywood schmoozing?2001:558:6026:B:29B0:1CBE:49EE:4042 (talk) 04:51, 8 November 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Forget it, pal. It's Wikipedia for you. You wanna any sort of objectivity, you go to Encyclopedia Dramatica. 217.91.160.59 (talk) 14:50, 11 December 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Samaha jewish origins?

[edit]

There are no records of a Samaha jewish family in Lebanon. In the Beirut Jewish cemetery burials the Samaha surname is not found. This can be searched here https://www.sephardicgen.com/databases/BeirutCemeterySrchFrm.html.

There is a Chammah jewish family in Lebanon as can be seen in the detailed list of the Lebanese Jewish surnames of Beirut and Saida (Sidon) found at https://farhi.org/Documents/The%20Jews%20of%20Lebanon.htm. The more detailed list can be found at https://www.sephardicgen.com/databases/LebanonSurnamesSearchEngine.php?SurnameKind=exact&SurnameSoundex=&SurnameMax=&SourceIKind=exact&SourceIMax=&SourceIIKind=exact&SourceIIMax=&SourceIIIKind=exact&SourceIIIMax=&SourceIVKind=exact&SourceIVMax=&NotesKind=exact&offset=1 but not a Samaha which is a Christian family in Lebanon.

Perhaps more or better sources are needed for claiming Elie Samaha is of Lebanese Jewish descent.Chris O' Hare (talk) 20:55, 20 April 2020 (UTC)[reply]
