Stupid band name

[edit]

How can a hip hop band from NJ be named after a monster from Dr. Who? They probably didn't even realize it...

Actually the name came from an intentional misspelling of the word "dialect" and is in no way related to Dr. Who. You do realize it's possible for things to be named independently of other things with shared names right?--76.214.241.17 20:39, 11 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]
I definitely think it's possible for a hip-hop band from NJ to be named after a monster from Dr. Who, but I strongly doubt that this one is; I too expect that it's a total coincidence. Seems like a lot of people do; does anybody have any confirmation that the Dalek reference is deliberate? Iralith 21:22, 24 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]
I'm 99% sure the band name is a coincidence. This interview [1] contains fairly solid evidence of that. I can't recall if it's in part 1 or part 2, though, so you may have to dig up the second part. Dalkaen (talk) 11:59, 15 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]
