Career stats tables

[edit]

Hi Anwegmann. If you'd like to see a career stats table standardised as you indicated here, let me know. I'd be happy to oblige. Kind regards, Robby.is.on (talk) 15:46, 29 June 2024 (UTC)[reply]

@Robby.is.on Hey mate! Good to hear from you. Looking back, my main concern with this was the inclusion of the countries in the stats table, which gives the whole thing too heavy a look. I am happy to work on it, as well, but if you're interested in taking it on, I would appreciate it very much. Thanks again. Anwegmann (talk) 18:36, 29 June 2024 (UTC)[reply]
I think I've already standardised the club stats table at Taleb Tawatha. My message was more about tables in other articles you come across in the future or have come across. Robby.is.on (talk) 18:40, 29 June 2024 (UTC)[reply]
@Robby.is.on Ah, okay great. I appreciate it. I'll be in touch if I find any that are beyond my abilities. Thanks, again. Anwegmann (talk) 19:28, 29 June 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Alright! Happy editing, Robby.is.on (talk) 19:29, 29 June 2024 (UTC)[reply]
@Robby.is.on I'm seeing it now. Excellent work! Anwegmann (talk) 19:29, 29 June 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Hi Anwegmann, I just wanted to let you know that I have added the new page reviewer user right to your account. If you asked for this at requests for permissions, please check back there to see if your access is time-limited or if there are other comments.

This is a good time to re-acquaint yourself with the guidance at Wikipedia:New pages patrol. Before you get started, please take the time to:

You can find a list of other useful links and tools for patrollers at Wikipedia:New pages patrol/Resources. If you are ever unsure what to do, ask your fellow patrollers or just leave the page for someone else to review – you're not alone! —Ganesha811 (talk) 19:44, 10 July 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Chizoba2 reverts

[edit]

Thanks for reverting the misidentification from User:Chizoba2, it looks like they were copying a mistake across from Wikidata, something we've seen recently with meta:Wikipedia Pages Wanting Photos 2024 competitions where users are encouraged to just add as many images as they can.

Where an infobox image is the correct person but incorrectly formatted as a thumbnail, though, it seems better to leave that in place rather than revert it. A picture adds significant value to the article and its formatting will be fixed by other users, maybe even by bots.

(I'd batch fix all these images myself in a couple of minutes but AutoWikiBrowser isn't letting me connect right now.) Belbury (talk) 13:28, 8 August 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Hello, Yesterday (2024-08-16) the above article has been deleted, because of lack of significant coverage of the subject. I found some references ref-1 and ref-2. I think they can be considered as having significant coverage of the subject. Especially the first source is in my opinion a good one if we talk about significant coverage.
What do you think about the references, especially about the first one? Web-wiki-warrior (talk) 13:13, 17 August 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Both sources are WP:ROUTINE, as the first one is from the league's website, which is not "independent," and the second one is a transfer notice. So both are not WP:SIGCOV. Anwegmann (talk) 16:48, 17 August 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Thank you for your opinion. My point of view: There are many Wikipedia articles about football players where the only sources/references are websites of the players' clubs. In the case of the deleted article, I think the league website is much more independent than a club website. Web-wiki-warrior (talk) 20:56, 17 August 2024 (UTC)[reply]
And those articles should not exist and should be tagged for deletion eventually. WP:OTHERSTUFF exists. That doesn't make this page or any other page you've created special. You have to follow policy when making these pages. Your opinion about what makes a player notable, in the end, doesn't matter. I know it can be very frustrating. But that is the way of things.
