Decent article- great cultural anthropology

There's a stance I feel is being missed - especially in relation to countries with strong working class/peasant communities. There's ultimately a reason why Elon Musk will never be cool. He lacks the pure earned grace that self created meritous achievements provide.

Think of the 'coolest' people of American history. Elvis Presley. Tupac Shakur. Nina Simone. Mark Twain. They all come from backgrounds in which they had to overcome adversity. Point is, one of the few things that can be reliably determinate as to the cause of 'cool' in the first place is authenticity. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 2A00:23C7:CF14:5201:40BC:68F5:F4D7:375F (talk) 09:52, 28 August 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Cool can mean anything

If anybody can find anything cool for any reason how can there be a standard for cool? 2600:8800:5210:4E00:94F7:86B8:9F75:BF5 (talk) 15:08, 1 December 2016 (UTC)[reply]

In the overview section's third sentence ("One consistent aspect however, is that cool is wildly seen as positive and desirable."), change "wildly" to "widely". 75.44.76.175 (talk) 01:45, 13 December 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Africa and African Diaspora Quotations- Thompson

This section of the article uses several quotations from Thompson, though it is cited, when it should be paraphrased. ~~duponts2 — Preceding unsigned comment added by Duponts2 (talkcontribs) 17:36, 11 April 2018 (UTC)[reply]
