Decent article- great cultural anthropology
There's a stance I feel is being missed - especially in relation to countries with strong working class/peasant communities. There's ultimately a reason why Elon Musk will never be cool. He lacks the pure earned grace that self created meritous achievements provide.
Think of the 'coolest' people of American history. Elvis Presley. Tupac Shakur. Nina Simone. Mark Twain. They all come from backgrounds in which they had to overcome adversity. Point is, one of the few things that can be reliably determinate as to the cause of 'cool' in the first place is authenticity. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 2A00:23C7:CF14:5201:40BC:68F5:F4D7:375F (talk) 09:52, 28 August 2022 (UTC)

Overview
[edit]Cool is not always perceived as positive, though it is said to be in this overview, so I am planning to take out that word.

Africa and African Diaspora Quotations- Thompson
[edit]This section of the article uses several quotations from Thompson, though it is cited, when it should be paraphrased. ~~duponts2 — Preceding unsigned comment added by Duponts2 (talk • contribs) 17:36, 11 April 2018 (UTC)

Please change spelling of name from "Gioigia" to "Gioia"-- two occurrences, as below:
FROM: "When the air in the smoke-filled nightclubs of that era became unbreathable, windows and doors were opened to allow some "cool air" in from the outside to help clear away the suffocating air. By analogy, the slow and smooth jazz style that was typical for that late-night scene came to be called "cool".' -Giogia As Giogia stated, "The goal [of cool jazz] was always the same: to lower the temperature of the music and bring out different qualities in jazz."
