Etymology

From Proto-Sino-Tibetan *C-tsəw-k/ŋ (to collect; to gather; to assemble). Cognate with (OC *zloʔ, *zlos, “to collect; to store”), (OC *zoːɡ, “clan”), (OC *zloːds, “to collect; most”), (OC *ʔsoːŋ, “sheaf; bundle”) (Schuessler, 2007).
