Early Studies (Frühstudium)

What does ”early studies” mean?

Gifted and motivated pupils can be admitted to courses in various subjects while still at school. As a rule, this refers to pupils in year 10 to 12. Pupils may take courses totalling no more than 6 credit hours per week.

What are the opportunities for pupils participating in early studies?

• Recognition of credit towards a regular study programme after school leaving examination (Abitur)
• Experiencing student life
• Gaining specialised knowledge in university courses

Which subjects are open to early studies?

The University of Bamberg offers selected courses in all faculties:

• Humanities
• Social Sciences, Economics, and Business Administration
• Human Sciences and Education
• Information Systems and Applied Computer Sciences
