General information on early studies in Bamberg

What does ”early studies” mean?

Gifted and motivated pupils can be admitted to courses in various subjects while still at school. As a rule, this refers to pupils in year 10 to 12. Pupils may take courses totalling no more than 6 credit hours per week.

What are the opportunities for pupils participating in early studies?

  • Recognition of credit towards a regular study programme after school leaving examination (Abitur)
  • Experiencing student life
  • Gaining specialised knowledge in university courses
