Baton and On is a Rhythm minigame that appears in Super Mario Party. The minigame's title is a pun on the phrase "on and on."
Gameplay[edit]
Players are seen being a part of a marching band, with four Toads, which is conducted by Toadette. After a three-second countdown, the characters march along for a few seconds before stopping, and every player must swing their Joy-Con up and down to wave their baton to the beat of the music, earning them points. If the player waves their baton after the countdown ends (before and after each march), they will earn three extra points. After marching seven times (15 times on the Hard mode), the player must shake their Joy-Con left and right to wave at the audience, giving them more points. Afterwards, the player with the most points wins.
The perfect score is 124 on Normal difficulty and 160 on Hard difficulty.
On Challenge Road, this minigame is the seventh challenge of Shell Street and the seventh challenge overall. The goal is to obtain 100 points for the normal challenge and 110 points for the Master Challenge, both of them on Normal difficulty.
