However, when adding new information, please ensure that it is:

  • official - the Nitro toy has only been revealed through unofficial leaks, so it cannot be covered by the wiki yet. See Help:Official info for more details.
  • accurate - multiple people have confirmed at this point that the Optimus Prime stock photos seen in Argos catalogues are being mistakenly used to represent the regular new-mould TLK Voyager Optimus. The DOTM redeco's actual avenue of release is currently unknown.

Hey man! Back to subject, sorry I didn't follow the rules. The Transformers Tribute page was saved before I finished editing all of it, so that is why you saw only one sentence. I put up the page back, complete with more than one sentence, and the actual toys listed on it. Check it out. Also, I see people signing their posts where it can leave a link to their page and talk page? How do you do that? I can't find how on any of the help pages, and I even logged out and looked at a post I signed. Still didn't show a link... so how do you do that? Once again sorry I messed up, but hopefully it won't happen again. Thanks for reading. --Boingus (talk) 22:28, 3 July 2017 (EDT)
The signature code is - ~~~~ . - TBR (talk) 22:51, 3 July 2017 (EDT)
Thanks, but it still doesn't have a link to my page and talk page. --Boingus (talk) 10:14, 4 July 2017 (EDT)
Actually I figured it out! --Boingus (talk) 11:58, 10 September 2017 (EDT)

Images

Depending on what browser you're using, it can take a few minutes for your cache to catch up with the new image you uploaded. Or in other words, try closing and reopening your browser after uploading a new version of an image and it should be there. Grum (talk) 13:26, 2 October 2017 (EDT)

Thanks, but I tried closing and reopening the browser, but it didn't work. --Boingus (talk) 13:47, 2 October 2017 (EDT)
The sure-fire method is to do a "full" refresh of the page, by pressing Ctrl + F5. That ignores any cached version of the image and loads it fresh, and you should see the new version. Jalaguy (talk) 14:02, 2 October 2017 (EDT)
Ahh, I see it now. Thanks. --Boingus (talk) 17:52, 2 October 2017 (EDT)
I uploaded stock photos for MP-29+ Shockwave, but I totally forgot to put in a stock photo tag. Is it possible to edit that tag in after I uploaded the photo, or am I going to have to upload a new photo with the right tags or whatever? -TargetmasterJoe268 (talk) 16:40, 10 May 2018 (EDT)
Actually no. Tags go into the description, not on the image itself. I have already tagged the image with a Masterpiece stock photo template. More information on these image templates can be found on the image guidelines page. --Boingus (talk) 16:57, 10 May 2018 (EDT)

Toy images

When adding them, please put them above the toy's name for better formatting. Saix (talk) 22:55, 17 February 2018 (EST)

Okay, I will for now on. --Boingus (talk)

AOE Grimlock

Lol bro I have no idea either with that design, and I'm starting to think the designers had no idea either!—The preceding unsigned comment was added by Cannonfodder4000 (talkcontribs).

I took a look at screencaps and, yeah, I could make out the other side of the jaw on each shoulder, so there is a head on each shoulder. It's kinda wonky. --Boingus (talk) 20:32, 23 February 2018 (EST)

From kampungpisangadrian

Actually I want to edit more, but I have limited time to do so sorry. Kampungpisangadrian (talk) 10:44, 24 March 2018 (EDT)kampungpisangadrianKampungpisangadrian (talk) 10:44, 24 March 2018 (EDT)

No, its fine, just on your free time you might wanna quickly go through the guidelines just so you know what not to do. --Boingus (talk) 10:57, 24 March 2018 (EDT)

generations change

you: (→‎Alt-Modes, GDO/Cyber Series/Masterpiece, and Platinum Edition (2015–2018): They are part of the PWT because of similar packaging design)

What is PWT? --MistaTee (talk) 22:57, 12 April 2018 (EDT)

Sorry, I was being lazy; PWT stands for Prime Wars Trilogy. --Boingus (talk) 07:18, 13 April 2018 (EDT)
Well those lines are definitely not part of the PWT, which is large enough to deserve its own section IMO. I would imagine that the WFC Trilogy would have its own section as well (in time). I'm only looking to simplify the headers of the generations subsets. Perhaps Generations is so big now that we need to structure the page differently? --MistaTee (talk) 21:03, 13 April 2018 (EDT)
Well you might want to ask on the Generations talk page, as I agree, the Prime Wars Trilogy section holds way to many subsections that aren't technically part of Hasbro's definition of the PWT. --Boingus (talk) 21:25, 13 April 2018 (EDT)

Image sizes

Just a heads-up, we try to keep images under 150KB in size to conserve bandwidth except in special cases. All the screencaps you uploaded from the POTP trailer are over that size, some of them twice so. Once the episodes start airing, I'll replace the ones we've got with lower-resolution equivalents that also lack the watermark in the corner, but just try to keep that in mind next time you upload. -- Cyberlink420 (talk) 16:57, 24 April 2018 (EDT)

Oh sorry, I completely forgot about that. Thanks for the heads up. --Boingus (talk) 16:59, 24 April 2018 (EDT)

Caption bastard

"Caption bastards" are specifically for users who do nothing but add captions. People who contributed plenty are allowed to change existing captions. Escargon (talk) 20:46, 4 May 2018 (EDT)

I apologize for misusing the term, but users still aren't allowed to change captions (unless it's an overused joke or offensive/inappropriate) under the wiki's guidelines for captions. --Boingus (talk) 21:06, 4 May 2018 (EDT)
Well, no, it's "new users" that aren't supposed to change captions. I've been here five years now and I think I've put in enough work to justify goofing around with the captions every so often. Grum (talk) 12:40, 5 May 2018 (EDT)
Ah, I see. Sorry for bugging you. --Boingus (talk) 13:00, 5 May 2018 (EDT)

Cylas here

Thank you for your comment on my talk page. It brought tears to my eyes and was exactly what I needed. God bless you! -Cylasbreakdown (talk) 23:48, 9 May 2018 (EDT)

Thank you for the welcome back. You are so very kind, and I almost weep when I read your comments. Glad to be back. Cylasbreakdown (talk) 15:46, 1 June 2018 (EDT)

MPM4 Images

Really sorry about the five images, I totally forgot about the format and size. I just couldn't help notice the ones on the page were mistransformed in both modes and did not represent the colors of the final product, which were much brighter. Should I properly tag the photos or do you want them deleted instead? They were the only stock photos I could find with Optimus properly transformed. Optimus Prime (Convoy) (talk) 15:22, 29 June 2018 (EDT)

No, it's cool. If you want you could upload a new version of the old, mistransformed image with your better image. Thanks! --Boingus (talk) 15:25, 29 June 2018 (EDT)
I'll remove the other four and just leave one new combined stock photo for the page. However, I do want to keep the mistransformed one as well since the text makes reference to it. Is that okay? Optimus Prime (Convoy) (talk) 22:55, 29 June 2018 (EDT)
Yep! Thanks a lot! --Boingus (talk) 00:05, 30 June 2018 (EDT)

New Generations templates

I have to handle some IRL stuff soon. If you would like the honor of distributing the new, more specified Generations templates I have just created, be my guest. S.H.I.E.L.D. Agent 47 (talk) 21:35, 15 July 2018 (EDT)

Okay, sure. --Boingus (talk) 22:53, 15 July 2018 (EDT)

Moving/deleting pages

Do not "move" pages by copy and pasting them. You are supposed to use the move function located at the top of articles so that the history can be preserved. Now an admin has fix it. Saix (talk) 08:23, 30 July 2018 (EDT)

I apologize for the inconvenience, but I thought you couldn't move pages to articles that already exist (i.e. Trax (AOE) to KSI Sentry, both pages existed pre-move). And why do you need an admin's help? Can't you just undo my edits and do the move yourself? --Boingus (talk) 11:11, 30 July 2018 (EDT)
KSI Sentry existed only as a redirect. You can move pages to titles that exist only as redirects and it will overwrite the redirect. If your edits are simply undone, then the previous Trax (AOE) page cannot be moved over the previous KSI Sentry page as that page now has a history as a non-redirect. The programming will not overwrite it as it would seem to be "losing" history. An admin is necessary to remove the actual page that you posted at KSI Sentry from the history so that the data can be moved there along with the page history from Trax (AOE). Retention of page history is EXTREMELY important. --Khajidha (talk) 12:57, 30 July 2018 (EDT)
Okay, I'm very sorry. My thought process was that history would still be kept just in a different place, but I understand now that keeping history on the same page is very important. --Boingus (talk) 13:12, 30 July 2018 (EDT)

The page currently titled "Jetfire (Movie)" is ready for deletion. All the necessary information from that page has been moved to the one titled "Jetfire (ROTF)". I am asking for help with deleting "Jetfire (Movie)" so "Jetfire (ROTF)" can be renamed as such. I already tried asking S.H.I.E.L.D. Agent 47, yet you've recently told me he wasn't administration. --NexusShard17 (talk) 21:08, 26 September 2018 (EDT)

Special:ListUsers/sysop Grum (talk) 21:12, 26 September 2018 (EDT)
Yeah, there's only like, what, five active admins? --Boingus (talk) 23:01, 26 September 2018 (EDT)

Studio Series dinocassettes

Did you not read LV's earlier edit? The dinocassette packs have the Bumblebee branding in their instructions. How does that not decisively classify them as Bumblebee characters in wiki categorization? S.H.I.E.L.D. Agent 47 (talk) 01:15, 19 September 2018 (EDT)

Yeah, I didn't see the earlier edit, but I understand that now. I already changed the category to Bumblebee Autobots and Decepticons on the Vol. 2 Casettes page already. --Boingus (talk) 08:30, 19 September 2018 (EDT)

Bumblebee/Charlie 2-pack

I know a gazillion online retailers are listing it under the name "Rebekah's Garage". However, Toys"R"Us Canada's store price tag calls it "Street Racer Set". And yet, neither name is on the packaging. You know what is on the packaging? "Highway Freedom".--Nevermore (talk) 06:44, 14 October 2018 (EDT)

Highway Freedom looks like it's just the name of the backdrop. In other Studio Series boxes, the font and location of the "Highway Freedom" is the same as where the name of the backdrop would be. Could we compromise with listing it as the only name on the actual product,"Bumblebee".--Boingus (talk) 10:13, 14 October 2018 (EDT)
Fair enough.--Nevermore (talk) 13:42, 14 October 2018 (EDT)
I can only assume that "Rebekah" was an early name for Charlie, and "Rebekah's Garage" would have been the originally intended backdrop scene. In the end, general retail wave 3 18 Bumblebee has a "Charlie's Garage" backdrop. In that case, "Highway Freedom" is the new name for "Rebekah's Garage", it's just that neither name would be the actual product's name.--Nevermore (talk) 06:25, 16 October 2018 (EDT)
I wouldn't be surprised if that is what happened. I mean, sounds about right. --Boingus (talk) 08:07, 16 October 2018 (EDT)

Photos

Well, you did an excellent job on the photos of your toys. But there are two things you need to fix: Some proper lighting and a bigger backdrop. FigureGunplaFan (talk) 05:50, 24 October 2018 (EDT)

Thanks for the complement and the advice. Yesterday, I took many photos (of toys with stock photos already) using the same backdrop and lighting, so should I just upload these anyway? --Boingus (talk) 08:19, 24 October 2018 (EDT)
Your choice. But take note that I may replace some of them if possible. FigureGunplaFan (talk) 10:50, 24 October 2018 (EDT)
Okay, cool, but I won't bother. Thanks! --Boingus (talk) 16:38, 24 October 2018 (EDT)

Energon Igniters Nitro Series Camaro Bumblebee

I only just noticed this has been on the Bumblebee movie toyline page ever since you created that page and... I don't think I ever saw such a figure, nor heard about it before. Got a source?--Nevermore (talk) 20:23, 8 November 2018 (EST)

"...the Nitro series will also have a Camaro ‘Bee." from the Geekdad article Hasbro had to reveal the Bumblebee Energon Igniters. It's toward the end. --Boingus (talk) 22:23, 8 November 2018 (EST)

Blank lines in code

I don't care that much either way, but some people prefer to have line breaks in page code to visually distinguish between paragraphs and such. If you eliminate all of them, especially ones that don't show up in normal page display, then it becomes more of a chore to look at. S.H.I.E.L.D. Agent 47 (talk) 18:28, 3 March 2019 (EST)

Okay, I won't remove anymore blank lines, but if I write up something, I probably won't insert many spaces. --Boingus (talk) 21:00, 3 March 2019 (EST)

Regarding Golden Disk Destinies

Sorry about the heavy handed edit. I had removed the 'Wave Markers' because I has believed they were redundant because they related to the table heading. I moved the page to have consistency in the rows with Image and Text under it. Column 1 was presenting the information with Text over Image which leads to inconsistency in the presentation of the information (so I thought). However, I now realize that 'Wave' relates to the toy release wave the card is part of, correct? I thought it was relating to the position in the destiny order. Character -> Dest1 -> Dest2 -> Dest3, but now I see that implies which toy release wave it was from. I've got 2 more in the mail on the way to me that I will scan and add and now that I understand the wave information, I will just add the images in. --YoYo-Pete (talk) 14:44, 10 June 2021 (EDT)

No worries! and yes, wave refers to the toy releases, and sounds good! --Boingus (talk) 14:52, 10 June 2021 (EDT)

Buzzworthy Bumblebee

Are you sure the 1-Step Blurr you saw was in Buzzworthy Bumblebee packaging? Do you have a photo? I've seen several sightings photos, and they all show only Bumblebee, Wheeljack and Shockwave.--Nevermore (talk) 15:31, 17 April 2022 (EDT)

I'll check next time I'm back at Target, for now feel free to remove him --Boingus (talk) 16:44, 17 April 2022 (EDT)
