Titan Hunter
From Transformers Wiki
- The Titan Hunters are a Decepticon subgroup from the 2005 IDW portion of the Generation 1 continuity family.
The Titans were huge, ancient Cybertronians and possessors of near-mystical abilities including the ability to warp space and time. They left Cybertron millions of years before the war began, taking their secrets with them. Unfortunately, Megatron had heard enough stories to think finding these legendary figures, murdering them and salvaging their body parts was a really good idea. To this end, he assembled the Titan Hunters, an elite group of Decepticons who follow the wakes Titans leave behind.

The Titan Hunters were formed after Metroplex's disappearance to find him so that Megatron could utilize his space bridge technology. They hunted after him in the Empirion, with Thundercracker acting as a science officer for the group. After countless fruitless searches Thundercracker found a piece of metal from Metroplex that he used to track the Titan to another asteroid (telling Bludgeon that it was a hunch). The new asteroid turned out to be populated by Urtuskians and filled with a reservoir of energon. This asteroid did turn out to be the location of Metroplex, who soon left after being discovered by Thundercracker and Bumblebee. These events led to Thundercracker being kicked out of the Titan Hunters. The Hunting Party
Sometime later, the group discovered a different Titan who Waspinator managed to kill and control—leading to him being separated from the group. Homecoming
An unknown period of time later the Titan Hunters came under the employ of Tyrest, with the mission to — unsurprisingly — kill Titans. Under the employ of Tyrest the group found and killed a vast amount of Titans. Minimus Ambus was unaware of this alliance—suggesting that Tyrest wished it to remain secret. House of Ambus
Once again on the trail of Metroplex the hunters attacked the Lost Light with the intention of retrieving his thumb from the ship. The group easily took control of the ship due to Trailbreaker-cutter being the only member of the crew active. Trailcutter first dealt with Chop Shop and Venom before retrieving a remote control from Brainstorm's lab. Trailcutter used the remote to turn off the gravity and fool the Decepticons into believing that he still had his forcefield powers. Trailcutter then convinced Lockdown that he had his spark contained in a forcefield,
sending the hunters into a retreat. The Reluctant Specialist
The Titan Hunters later attacked Rodimus's scouting group on Luna 1 while they were exploring the reignited hot spot. The Fecund Moon The Hunters chased the group through the the Titans graveyard. Likely due to their experience of taking down the citybots, the Titan Hunters were more effective at hunting down Rodimus and cornered down the impulsive 'bot last, but not without the loss of two "Vehicons". Lockdown's team later took the group to Tyrest to face charges of "crimes against creation". House of Ambus
The Titan Hunters later abandoned the moon after Tyrest was defeated. This Calamitous Life
