who is in command of the seekers

wouldn't Acid storm be under the command of slipstream? or is she not the leader of the seekers? -Mamamiapizza 18:13, 22 August 2018 (EDT)

Yes. notirishman (talk) 18:50, 22 August 2018 (EDT)

so in that case acid storms description should be changed to say he is under slipstreams command -Mamamiapizza 19:27, 22 August 2018 (EDT)

Go ahead and change it then. Escargon (talk) 19:29, 22 August 2018 (EDT)

I'm not convinced the green Seeker from "Terminal Velocity" is Acid Storm. The colors do not line up: the chest is white instead of purple, the wing-stripes are red instead of yellow, the helmet is solid black and not green & purple. Also, the one non-Slipstream line with the female VA could have been either jet, given the lack of any visual indication of who was talking. Now, if the credits specify "Acid Storm" with a female VA, then fine, I admit the version of the cartoon I watched doesn't seem to have the correct credits. But without a specific callout, given the numbers of generics... --M Sipher (talk) 05:57, 10 October 2018 (EDT)

"The credits on the Xfinity OnDemand are not from "Cube," they're from this episode and name Thrust and Acid Storm. When I first watched the ep I considered that the female voice might have been the red one, even though the green was closest to camera, before I checked the credits and found that Acid Storm's VA was a woman." One slight problem: the credits say Jamie, but it seems her actual name is Jaime. --Khajidha (talk) 14:21, 10 October 2018 (EDT)

Gender

So I'm not 100% sure we should be calling Acid Storm female just yet. When I initially heard the voice and saw the credit I thought so, but after I checked the brief appearance of their robot mode and saw it was the generic Seeker model without any of the altered features Nova Storm or Slipstream has, I was less certain. With the character's official bio using male pronouns, there is a slight possibility that the character isn't intended to be female. We might need to wait for further appearances. --KilMichaelMcC (talk) 13:54, 10 October 2018 (EDT)

At the very least, the fact that AS's online bio uses make pronouns needs to be addressed. --M Sipher (talk) 16:21, 10 October 2018 (EDT)
Perhaps we should use "they" until it's clarified one way or another? - TBR (talk) 16:18, 12 October 2018 (EDT)
I agree until this is completely sorted out we should stick with a gender-neutral pronoun.--Projectus (talk) 15:03, 29 October 2018 (EDT)
I say this cause this is clearly a masculine laugh. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5rPAazBAovg

Don't you agree.--Projectus (talk) 17:21, 29 October 2018 (EDT)

If you think Acid Storm had a "masculine laugh" there, I recommend you visit an ear-nose-and-throat doctor for a hearing checkup. - TBR (talk) 20:33, 29 October 2018 (EDT)
That laugh was somewhat deep and came from the direction of both Thrust and Acid storm. And i'm not saying we should automatically change it to male. What i am SAYING is we should change the page to be gender neutral.--Projectus (talk) 11:46, 5 November 2018 (EST)
Acid Storm's voice actor is a woman, so if that is indeed her laugh (which is hard to tell, but i think it is), then it's still a woman's laugh regardless of how deep it is. -Foffy (talk) 12:50, 5 November 2018 (EST)
There was NOTHING masculine about that laugh. --Khajidha (talk) 13:00, 5 November 2018 (EST)
Yeah. More seriously: you might want to check your speakers/headphones/earbuds/whatever if you think that it was masculine at all, because your sound is coming out way off from what it actually is. - TBR (talk) 22:47, 5 November 2018 (EST)
One having a female voice actor does NOT automatically mean female or do i need to remind you all of Tara strong, who voice timmy turner (Fairy odd parents) and Omi (Xiaolin showdown) or do you deny that she has voice those roles. i will concede there might be something wrong with my speaker, but honestly you guys are kinda acting hostile. especially you TBR, and your the one who pitch the gender-neutral theory in the first place.--Projectus (talk) 23:52, 5 November 2018 (EST)
Those are 13 year old-ish boys. I doubt Acid Storm is/will be portrayed as that. Escargon (talk) 00:01, 6 November 2018 (EST)
It's less "hostile" and more "...I honestly cannot comprehend how anyone could hear that as masculine". Also yes, I suggested it in the first place, but it's the consensus of the wiki not to - and so I moved on, especially when on a rewatch of "Terminal Velocity" and now the "Teletraan-X" teaser it's unquestionable that Acid Storm has a female voice. - TBR (talk) 01:23, 6 November 2018 (EST)
Then Masako Nozawa then (Or do you have a problem with Goku). can we please just let it drop, I'm sorry i brought it up.--Projectus (talk) 03:20, 6 November 2018 (EST)
All of those actesses you list do not use their normal voices when they are playing male characters. From all signs, Acid Storm's actress is. Escargon (talk) 10:45, 6 November 2018 (EST)
When have i stated that they never did that Escargon, Hmm? Go on tell me when i stated that they never disguise there voice to sound masculine? Your grasping at straws just to browbeat me. seriously i was willing to let it drop but i'm not going to let you browbeat me sir.--Projectus (talk) 15:08, 6 November 2018 (EST)
1. It's ma'am. 2. You didn't. I'm pointing out the difference in the roles you bring up and Acid Storm here. Read between the lines. Escargon (talk) 15:11, 6 November 2018 (EST)

"Siloed" has updated her face to have the same look as Slipstream and Nova Storm, so that's this arguement settled. Escargon (talk) 16:36, 17 November 2018 (EST)

Not quite! Sky Shadow (talk) 16:15, 21 December 2018 (EST)
Ok, now I've settled a bit: Since this is the most word-of-god-iest info we'll likely ever have on Acid Storm's deal (after all, Ask Vector Prime's been dead for a while), I feel like we should probably revisit pronouns. My gut is currently telling me that "they"'s in the intro/notes and "he"'s and "she"'s in story/toy writeups based on the relevant body format. This whole dealio is probably something I want to take a look at and seriously polish this article because of (gender and transformers? wow, specints!), and I'm stopped only by being kind of tired and knowing that if I leap right into it I'll start an edit war. Instead, I'll ask what people think in advance, so we know the minefields in advance. Sky Shadow (talk) 18:01, 21 December 2018 (EST)

Acid Storm's still using both models

"Ultimately, Acid Storm's appearances during Chapter 2 exclusively used the female Seeker design." I don't think this is quite true. I'm only up to Episode 6 (still catching up), but while they're mainly using the female design, there's still definitely shots where the male one is used; this is especially evident in the scene when Starscream first puts on the construction vehicle armor, Acid Storm's model changes from female to male in consecutive shots. I don't think we should have the sentence be so definite. Jeddostotle7 (talk) 05:05, 27 December 2019 (EST)

Ah, my mistake, please fix it then. --notirishman (talk) 20:29, 27 December 2019 (EST)

Regarding Acid Storm being genderfluid or not

It's been discussed a lot whether Acid Storm is actually genderfluid or not the community page, and we personally do not feel there is enough to go on to assign the category to them since there is no definitive statement that they are, but they certainly are not cis. So we're putting them under the gender expansive umbrella. You can read the discussion here. https://tfwiki.net/wiki/Transformers_Wiki_talk:Community_Portal#Nonbinary_Character_Category Causeway (talk) 19:24, 5 March 2023 (EST)
