Synopsis

RescueDog Bots rescue dog.jpg

The rescue team is down at the dock painting the Darby Ava. Kade is becoming increasingly bored with the task, but the resulting discussion is cut short by the sound of a dog barking. They find a dog trapped by his leash among some rocks in a culvert, and with the tide rapidly coming in, the four bots have to work together to free the animal before the waves can reach him. They succeed, though Boulder is almost washed away by a huge wave. Cody immediately asks if they can keep the dog, but Chief Burns points out they need to make an effort to find the real owner first. None of the family recognizes the dog, but the town is having a dog show in a few days, so it's possible he's from out of town. Back at the firehouse, Cody hits on the name Noble. Heatwave is confused by the concept of dog ownership. Chief Burns reports no one entering the dog show is missing a dog, so he and Cody distribute holographic signs to try to find the owner. While they're doing so, Cody runs into Frankie, who's practicing tricks with Edison and Aristotle, and she explains how her dogs have a trigger word to prompt them to perform.

The dog show eventually rolls around, and much of the town assembles in a tent on the beach for it. Backstage, Cody prepares to go on with Noble, and the rest of the team shows up for support, though Chief reminds the Bots to remember to act like robots at all times. Huxley Prescott runs down the contestants, which somehow include Mrs. Neederlander and her cat. The contestants have their pets run through their tricks, but when Mrs. Neederlander is rolling out a flaming hoop so Mister Pettypaws can do his jumping through fire trick, the hoop falls over and sets fire to the stage. As the blaze spreads, the team evacuates the tent, with Heatwave making a last minute save of Frankie. Mrs. Luskey realizes her dog Poopsie is still inside, and Noble abruptly runs back into the blazing tent. Heatwave's sent over to rescue him, but Noble soon emerges, bearing Poopsie on his back. Mrs. Luskey promises Noble a medal, while Priscilla Pynch attempts to buy the pooch. Cody soon figures out that Noble's trigger word is "rescue".

Noble's put to good use on the team, rescuing a small boy in a runaway cart, catching a crook who's stolen money from the bank, and he soon receives his medal from Mayor Luskey. With no sign of the dog's real owner, Chief Burns agrees they can keep Noble. Another emergency call comes in, reporting a semi truck with its brakes out heading towards town, so the team rolls to the rescue. Though the bots are able to stop the truck using a Collision Foam Cannon, one of the truck's wheels breaks free and bounces towards a magazine stand. Cody has Noble pull the owner to safety, but in the debris they find a newspaper from the mainland which reveals that Noble is actually Buster, a dog owned by Captain Duncan of the Coast City fire department. Cody sadly reports the news to Chief, but the Bots realize Noble's now gone missing.

The search begins, but Cody reasons that Priscilla has dognapped Noble. They head over to where Priscilla is at the dedication for the construction of Pynch Square. They quickly spot Noble in the Pynch car, but Priscilla switches Wi-Fido to guard dog mode and her remote control breaks. When she throws the remote to the ground, the dog goes crazy and triggers a cement truck. Mayor Luskey's attempt to escape Wi-Fido results in more of the machinery going wild, and a runaway bulldozer hits the construction until Boulder smashes it. With Priscilla trapped atop the construction work by Wi-Fido, Cody sends Noble to help, and the dog intercepts his robotic counterpart. Though they both fall to the ground, Noble is OK, and Chase helps Priscilla down. She gives Noble a hug and promises to end the company that made Wi-Fido. Later, at the docks, Captain Duncan arrives to pick up his dog. Cody gives Noble a tearful farewell and gets a goodbye lick.
