A rare moment of not attacking Axiom Nexus protagonists.

Pick-Up and the "Malignus Revolutionary Army" were among the rabble being roused by Gutcruncher's rally against their TransTech oppressors. The Malignus were whipped up into a decent frenzy just as Gutcruncher was assassinated, leading to a frantic chase to execute the apparent shooters. Pick-Up and the Malignus were among the most determined mechs pursuing Jackpot and Hubcap through Axiom Nexus, nearly catching them on several occasions. Pick-Up was present later with Jipe, Menasor, and Dirge when Hubcap tricked Black Shadow into revealing himself as the REAL assassin. Pick-Up and his cronies tore the creep apart after hearing his inadvertent confession. The Malignus Revolutionary Army take no assassin prisoner, after all. Gone Too Far

Pick-Up and the Malignus were at their hideout when they were approached by two Gargent Cluster mechs named Treds and Bad Boy. They were looking for one of their own named Bug Bite, but the Malignus Revolutionary Army gives no information for free. Still, Bad Boy had some style that the Malignus respected, and after a brief tussle with Turbo to show off his moves, Pick-Up and the Malignus gladly gave Bad Boy some intel to lead him to Bug Bite. They also showed up in the Heap to give Bad Boy some back-up against General Demolishor, that military fascist. Withered Hope

Pick-Up was also seen among the crowds in Axiom Nexus as Skyfall and Landquake wandered the streets. Transcendent: Part 4

  • Pick-Up (Malignus, 1985)
A redeco of the Mini Vehicle Gears, Pick-Up transforms into a pickup truck of unidentified (probably made-up) model. He was released only in Brazil by Estrela, and was available in two different color schemes: light green with purple robot parts, and dark "wine" with maroon (the latter being used for his package art). He also has a new "Malignus" faction sigil decal in robot mode.
All of the "Optimus/Malignus" Mini Vehicle releases are considered fairly rare, and go for a fairly high price on the secondary market, particularly the secondary color schemes; in this instance, the wine/maroon Pick-Up goes for more than the green/purple.
This mold was also used to make Small Foot, and retooled to make Swerve. The green/purple deco of this figure inspired the Shattered Glass incarnation of Swerve while the wine/maroon deco was used for Shattered Glass Gears.

Notes

  • The toys from the Brazilian G1 sub-series commonly referred to as "Optimus x Malignus" do not have bios, rather sharing the same names and molds as previous (factionless) Estrela releases, which in turn had the same bios as their Hasbro counterparts, only in Portuguese. As such, it is possible that this wiki page does not merit its own status because Pick-Up is basically "evil Gears" as opposed to being a separate character.
  • Kreon Pick-Up wears the Mirage helmet.
