Notes
- Seriously, his face in the The AllSpark Almanac II will give you nightmares.
- Back in 2008, Derrick Wyatt drew up his own version of Animated Sky-Byte, which he later revealed on his Twitter account. It, uh, looks nothing like the one that appears in the Almanac, and is much less terrifying. Jim Sorenson has stated that had that sketch been made available to him at the time of writing, Wyatt's version would have been what was in the Almanac.[1]
- Jim Sorenson and Bill Forster hinted early on that Sky-Byte would be a retool of Lugnut. This is reflected in "The Stunti-Con Job", as Sky-Byte is a redeco and new head retool of Lugnut's Cybertronian body with a head and color scheme based off 2001 Robots in Disguise Sky-Byte.
- Sky-Byte was originally to recite a pre-battle haiku in the live script reading of "The Stunti-Con Job" at BotCon 2011, but he and the other Team Chaar members' lines were cut for time and ease on the actors.
- According to Sky-Byte's tech specs in the BotCon 2011 lithograph "The 'Cons", Sky-Byte is the leader of the Air Predator Squadron: Gerushaku; "Gerushaku" being a phonetic spelling of his Robots in Disguise counterpart's Japanese name Gelshark.
