Mega Man & Bass (Game Boy Advance)
Mega Man & Bass |
---|
Also known as: Rockman & Forte (JP) This game has hidden development-related text. |
Mega Man & Bass is a GBA port of Rockman & Forte on the Super Famicom. Aside from the saturated color palettes and screen crunch that plague most SNES to GBA conversions, it's a remarkably faithful port, ruthless difficulty and all. It even managed to get a western release this time.

This needs some investigation. Discuss ideas and findings on the talk page. Specifically: See if any of the above stuff that's accessible in the original SFC version is accessible here, too. |
Hidden Details
The stages are identical to the Super Famicom version, but due to the Game Boy Advance's smaller screen, some parts of the stages are offscreen, making gameplay slightly more complex in some parts. For example:
- The ladder hidden by a statue in a floor from Ground Man's stage is easily spotted in the original version, but can be missed in this version.
- The first CD in Dynamo Man's stage requires sliding to be obtained, but as the ceiling is not visible, it won't be obvious at first glance.
- Parts of Mega Man and Bass in the title screen and stage clear screen, and small parts of their helmets from the game over screen, are also offscreen.
Exclusive Content
Because of the slower loading speeds on the GBA, this port has a loading icon that is frequently used to load new color palette data and tiles.
