Violet Dorothea Cecil was the daughter of Lord Francis Horace Pierrepont Cecil and Edith Brooks.1,2 She married, firstly, Lt.-Col. Oswald Henry Ames, son of Lt.-Col. Lionel Ames, on 5 September 1901.1 She married, secondly, Sir Maurice Bromley-Wilson, 7th Bt., son of Sir Henry Bromley, 5th Bt. and Adela Augusta Richards, on 1 September 1942.1 She died on 2 February 1953.1

Edith Brooks was the daughter of Sir William Cunliffe Brooks, 1st and last Bt. and Jane Elizabeth Orrell.2 She married, firstly, Lord Francis Horace Pierrepont Cecil, son of William Alleyne Cecil, 3rd Marquess of Exeter and Lady Georgina Sophia Pakenham, on 14 October 1874.2 She married, secondly, Admiral Philip Francis Tillard, son of Richard Henry Tillard and Anna Cotterill, on 26 April 1892.2 She died on 9 May 1923.2

Sir William Cunliffe Brooks, 1st and last Bt. was born on 30 September 1819.1 He was the son of Samuel Brooks and Margaret Hall.2 He married, firstly, Jane Elizabeth Orrell, daughter of Ralph Orrell, on 25 July 1842.1 He married, secondly, Jane Davidson, daughter of Colonel Sir David Davidson, on 5 November 1879.2 He died on 9 June 1900 at age 80, without male issue.2
He held the office of Deputy Lieutenant (D.L.) of Lancashire.1 He held the office of Deputy Lieutenant (D.L.) of Aberdeenshire.1 He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for East Cheshire between 1869 and 1885.1 He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for Altrincham between 1886 and 1892.1 He was created 1st Baronet Brooks [U.K.] on 4 March 1886.1 On his death, his baronetcy became extinct.1

Major Sir Rupert Howe Bromley, 9th Bt. was born on 31 December 1910.2 He was the son of Rear-Admiral Sir Arthur Bromley, 8th Bt. and Laura Mary Dunsmuir.1 He married, firstly, Dorothy Vera Selby, daughter of Sir Walford Harmood Montague Selby and Dorothy Orme Carter, on 6 June 1935.2 He and Dorothy Vera Selby were divorced in 1960.2 He married, secondly, Ethel Maud Stephens, daughter of Francis Richard Stephens, on 11 August 1960.2 He died on 14 June 1966 at age 55.2
