He married, firstly, Jean Barbara Hamilton, daughter of Lord Ernest William Hamilton and Pamela Campbell, on 8 June 1921.1 He and Jean Barbara Hamilton were divorced in 1944.1 He married, secondly, Prudence Audrey Haggie, daughter of William Haggie, on 12 December 1944.2 He died on 5 November 1969 at age 69.1
