Michael Langhorne Astor was born on 10 April 1916.¹ He was the son of Waldorf Astor, 2nd Viscount Astor and Nancy Witcher Langhorne.¹ He married, firstly, Barbara Mary Colonsay McNeill, daughter of Captain Ronald Frank Rous McNeill and Kathleen Beart, on 28 November 1942 at St. Mark's Church, Mayfair, London, England.¹ He and Barbara Mary Colonsay McNeill were divorced in 1961.¹ He married, secondly, Patricia David Pandora Clifford, daughter of Hon. Sir Bede Edmund Hugh Clifford and Alice Devin Gundry, on 12 July 1961.¹ He and Patricia David Pandora Clifford were divorced in 1968.¹ He married, thirdly, Judith Caroline Traill Innes, daughter of Paul Innes, in 1970.¹ He died in 1980.¹
     He was educated at Eton College, Windsor, Berkshire, England^G.¹ He gained the rank of Captain in the Royal Artillery (Territorial Army.)¹ He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.)      Captain Ronald Frank Rous McNeill was born on 15 January 1894 at Rothley, Leicestershire, England. He was the son of Charles Fitzroy Ponsonby McNeill and Lady Hilda Maud Rous. He married, firstly, Kathleen Beart on 6 April 1918 at Cape Town, Cape Province, South Africa. He and Kathleen Beart were divorced before 1932. He married, secondly, Phyllis Rowatt in 1932 at St. George's Church, Hanover Square, London, England.

     Edward Southwell Ward, 3rd Viscount Bangor was born in March 1790.¹ He was the son of Hon. Edward Ward and Lady Arabella Crosbie.¹ He married Hon. Harriet Margaret Maxwell, daughter of Reverend Henry Maxwell, 6th Baron Farnham and Lady Anne Butler, on 14 February 1826.¹ He died on 1 August 1837 at age 47.¹ His will was proven (by probate) in May 1840.¹

Selina Vesey, on 4 October 1841 at Dublin, County Dublin, Ireland^G.¹ She died on 4 July 1880 at age 75 at Castle Ward, County Down, Ireland^G.¹
     From 14 February 1826, her married name became Ward.¹ After her marriage, Hon. Harriet Margaret Maxwell was styled as Viscountess Bangor on 11 September 1827. From 4 October 1841, her married name became Nugent.¹
