Amy Webster was the daughter of John Arthur Webster.2 She married Lewis Joseph Hugh Clifford, 12th Baron Clifford of Chudleigh, son of William Hugh Clifford, 10th Baron Clifford of Chudleigh and Catherine Mary Bassett, in 1914.1 She died on 15 January 1926.1

Mary Elizabeth Knox was the daughter of Rt. Hon. Sir Adrian Knox.1 She married Lewis Joseph Hugh Clifford, 12th Baron Clifford of Chudleigh, son of William Hugh Clifford, 10th Baron Clifford of Chudleigh and Catherine Mary Bassett, on 14 December 1934.1

Colonel Lewis Hugh Clifford, 13th Baron Clifford of Chudleigh usually went by his middle name of Hugh.2 He was educated at Beaumont College, Old Windsor, Berkshire, England.3 He graduated from Hertford College, Oxford University, Oxford, Oxfordshire, EnglandG, with a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.)2 He fought in the Second World War, where he became a POW, but escaped in 1943.3 He gained the rank of Colonel in the Devon Regiment.2 He was appointed Officer, Order of the British Empire (O.B.E.) in 1962.2 He held the office of Deputy Lieutenant (D.L.) of Devon in 1964.2 He succeeded as the 13th Baron Clifford of Chudleigh, co. Devon [E., 1672] on 27 August 1964.3 He gained the rank of Honorary Colonel in 1968 in the Devon Territorials.3 He gained the rank of Honorary Colonel in April 1972 in the Wessex Yeomanry.3
