     Alethea Alice Mary Pauline Langdale was born on 23 May 1902.2 She was the daughter of Colonel Philip Joseph Langdale and Gertrude Lysley Derriman.2 She married George Miles Watson, 2nd Baron Manton, son of Joseph Watson, 1st Baron Manton and Frances Claire Nickols, on 18 April 1923.1 She and George Miles Watson, 2nd Baron Manton were divorced in 1936.1 She died in 1979.1
     After her marriage, Alethea Alice Mary Pauline Langdale was styled as Baroness Manton on 18 April 1923. Her married name became Watson.

George Miles Watson, 2nd Baron Manton

     George Miles Watson, 2nd Baron Manton was born on 21 June 1899.1 He was the son of Joseph Watson, 1st Baron Manton and Frances Claire Nickols.1 He married, firstly, Alethea Alice Mary Pauline Langdale, daughter of Colonel Philip Joseph Langdale and Gertrude Lysley Derriman, on 18 April 1923.1 He and Alethea Alice Mary Pauline Langdale were divorced in 1936.1 He married, secondly, Leila Joan Reynolds, daughter of Major Philip Guy Reynolds, on 1 June 1938.1 He died on 10 June 1968 at age 68.1
     He was educated at Harrow School, Harrow, London, England.1 He gained the rank of Captain in the Life Guards.1 He succeeded as the 2nd Baron Manton, of Compton Verney, co. Warwick [U.K., 1922] on 13 March 1922.1 He was director of Newmarket Bloodstock Ltd.1 He held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.)1

     Leila Joan Reynolds was the daughter of Major Philip Guy Reynolds.1 She married, firstly, John Dane Player before 1938.1 She married, secondly, George Miles Watson, 2nd Baron Manton, son of Joseph Watson, 1st Baron Manton and Frances Claire Nickols, on 1 June 1938.2 She married, thirdly, Peregrine Francis Adelbert Cust, 6th Baron Brownlow of Belton, son of Adelbert Salusbury Cockayne Cust, 5th Baron Brownlow of Belton and Maud Buckle, on 14 May 1969.1 She died on 5 May 1983.3
     From before 1938, her married name became Player.1 After her marriage, Leila Joan Reynolds was styled as Baroness Manton on 1 June 1938. From 1 June 1938, her married name became Watson. From 14 May 1969, her married name became Cust.1 After her marriage, Leila Joan Reynolds was styled as Baroness Brownlow of Belton on 14 May 1969.
