John (IV) Lestrange was the son of John (III) Lestrange and Lucy Tregoz.2 He married Joan de Somery, daughter of Roger de Somery and Nicole d'Aubigny.1 He died before 26 February 1275/76.1
He may have been a supporter of Simon de Montfort in his disputes with King Henry III.1 Between 1261 and 1263 he was at any rate instructed by the King to surrender his possession of Montgomery Castle, after it had been ordered to be made over to him in 1260.1 In 1265 a royal order for the restoration of Montgomery Castle to him was also made, suggesting that any support by him for Simon de Montfort was now ended.1

Hamon Lestrange was the son of John (III) Lestrange and Lucy Tregoz.2 He married Isabella d'Ibelin in 1272.1 He died in 1274/75, while on crusade with King Edward I (who, however, had returned to England ) in the Holy Land.1
He held the office of Sheriff of Hampshire.1 In 1266/67 he was granted the manor of Ellesmere by King Henry III.1 In 1271 he was granted Chawton, Hampshire.1

Isabella d'Ibelin married Hugh II, King of Cyprus, son of Henry I, King of Cyprus, before 1267.1 She married Hamon Lestrange, son of John (III) Lestrange and Lucy Tregoz, in 1272.1

Roger Lestrange, 1st and last Lord Strange (of Ellesmere) was the son of John (III) Lestrange and Lucy Tregoz.2 He married, firstly, Maud de Beauchamp, daughter of William de Beauchamp.1 He married, secondly, Maud (?)1 He died on 31 July 1311, without surviving issue.1
He held the office of Sheriff of Yorkshire between 1272 and 1274.1 After 1276 he served in King Edward I's Welsh campaigns.1 He held the office of Justice of the Forest south of Trent between 1283 and 1296.1 He was created 1st Lord Strange, of Ellesmere [England by writ] on 24 June 1295, to the Parliament at Westminster and again 1 Nov 1295 and yet again 26 Jan 1296/7.1 On 24 June 1295 so created by writ of summons (according to later doctrine.)1
