     Evelyn Coope Ruggles-Brise was born on 5 June 1888 at Rivenhall, Essex, England.1 He was the son of Archibald Weyland Ruggles-Brise and Mabel Coope.1 He married Mildred Dorothy Cubitt, daughter of Edward George Cubitt and Christabel Mary Burroughes, on 11 February 1920.1 He died on 28 September 1977 at age 89.1
     He was educated at Eton College, Windsor, Berkshire, England.1 He gained the rank of Captain in the Norfolk Yeomanry.1 He fought in the First World War.1

[Tanganyika] between 1926 and 1931.2 He fought in the Second World War.2
