Elizabeth Reid was the daughter of Andrew Reid.2 She married Henry Thomas, son of Robert Thomas and Antonia McColme, on 19 August 1767.1 She died in June 1818.1

George Thoms was born on 26 June 1768.1 He was the son of Henry Thomas and Elizabeth Reid.2 He married Elizabeth Hunter, daughter of Patrick Hunter, on 7 February 1794.1 He died on 19 March 1831 at age 62.1

Patrick Hunter Thoms, 1st of Aberlemno was born on 28 May 1796.1 He was the son of George Thoms and Elizabeth Hunter.2 He married Grace Watt, daughter of Thomas Watt, on 12 July 1830.1 He died on 17 June 1883 at age 87.1
He held the position of 15th, de jure Chief of the Clan MacThomas from.1 He held the office of Provost of Dundee in 1847.1 He held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.)1 He held the office of Deputy Lieutenant (D.L.)1 He was recognised by Lord Lyon King of Arms, and matriculated his arms at the Lyons Court in 1881.1 He lived at Aberlemno, Angus, Scotland.1
