William Lennox, 13th of Balcorrach and 8th of Woodland died in 1800.1
He held the position of Chief of the Clan Lennox from in 1755.1 In 1768 at an election of representative peers, he unsuccessfully claimed to represent the Earls of Lennox.1

Margaret Cunningham Kincaid Lennox was the daughter of John Lennox Kincaid Lennox of Woodhead and Kincaid.1 She married Hon. Charles Spencer Bateman-Hanbury-Kincaid-Lennox, son of William Bateman-Hanbury, 1st Baron Bateman of Shobdon and Elizabeth Chichester.1 She married George Augustus Frederick Percy Sydney Smythe, 7th Viscount Strangford, son of Percy Clinton Sydney Smythe, 6th Viscount Strangford and Ellen Burke, on 9 November 1857 at Bradgate Park, Leicester, Leicestershire, England.2 She died on 28 June 1892, without issue.1
From 9 November 1857, her married name became Smythe.2 On 18 June 1859 her name was legally changed to Margaret Cunningham Kincaid-Lennox.2

William Mandeville Peareth Kincaid Lennox, Chief of Lennox was born on 9 August 1892.1 He was the son of William George Peareth Kincaid Lennox and Anna Lily Frances Rouse-Boughton-Knight.2 He married Eva St. Clair Donald, daughter of Archibald Hamilton Donald and Ada St. Clair-Ford, on 8 November 1916.1
He was educated at Eton College, Windsor, Berkshire, EnglandG.1 He gained the rank of Major in the Argyll and Sutherland Highlanders.1 He was recognised by Lord Lyon King of Arms, and matriculated his arms at the Lyons Court on 28 November 1959.1 He held the position of Chief of the Clan Lennox from on 28 November 1959.1
