     Emma Sophia Smith was born circa 1827 at Westminster, London, England.1 She was the daughter of William Henry Smith and Mary Ann Cooper.1 She married Edwin Sercombe, son of John Clampitt Sercombe and Ann Murch, on 30 August 1855 at St. James's CHurch, Paddington, London, England.1 She died in 1908.1
     From 30 August 1855, her married name became Sercombe.1

     William de Ross, 3rd Earl of Ross was the son of William de Ross, 2nd Earl of Ross and Joan Comyn.1 He married Euphemia de Berkeley, daughter of Sir Hugh de Berkeley.2 He died on 28 January 1322/23.3
     He often changed sides in wars of independence against English.3 He succeeded as the 3rd Earl of Ross [S., c. 1225] in May 1274.3

     William de Ross, 2nd Earl of Ross was the son of Ferquard Mac Taggart, 1st Earl of Ross. He married Joan Comyn, daughter of William Comyn, Earl of Buchan and Sarah FitzHugh.1 He died in May 1274.1
     He held the office of Justiciar of Scotland, North of the Forth.1 He succeeded as the 2nd Earl of Ross [S., c. 1225] circa 1251.1
