Sir James Thomas Stewart-Richardson of Pitfour, 14th Bt. was born on 24 December 1840.2 He was the son of Sir John Stewart-Richardson of Pitfour, 13th Bt. and Mary Hay.2 He married Harriett Georgina Alice Cochrane, daughter of Rupert John Cochrane and Isabella Macomb Clarke, on 20 October 1868.2 He died on 14 February 1895 at age 54.2
