     Reverend Robert Melvill Gore Browne was baptised on 25 October 1852 at Truro Kenwyn, Cornwall, England.1 He was the son of Rt. Rev. Edward Harold Browne and Elizabeth Carlyon.1 He married Hon. Agnes Catharine Rollo, daughter of John Rogerson Rollo, 10th Lord Rollo of Duncrub and Agnes Bruce Trotter, on 31 January 1883.2 He died on 1 December 1931 at age 79.2
     He was the Rector at Leckhampstead, Buckinghamshire, EnglandG.2

     Rt. Rev. Edward Harold Browne was baptised on 19 May 1811 at St. Mary's, Aylesbury, Buckinghamshire, England.1 He was the son of Colonel Robert Browne and Sarah Dorothea Steward.1 He married Elizabeth Carlyon, daughter of Clement Carlyon and Eliza Carlyon, on 18 June 1840 at Bath, Somerset, England.1 He died on 18 December 1891 at age 80 at Shales, Hampshire, England.2
     He was educated at Eton College, Windsor, Berkshire, England.2 He graduated from Emmanuel College, Cambridge University, Cambridge, Cambridgeshire, England, in 1832 with a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.)2 He graduated from Emmanuel College, Cambridge University, Cambridge, Cambridgeshire, England, in 1836 with a Master of Arts (M.A.)2 He was Norrisian Professor of Divinity in 1854 at Cambridge University, Cambridge, Cambridgeshire, England.2 He graduated from Emmanuel College, Cambridge University, Cambridge, Cambridgeshire, England, in 1856 with a Bachelor of Divinity (B.D.)2 He graduated from Emmanuel College, Cambridge University, Cambridge, Cambridgeshire, England, in 1864 with a Doctor of Divinity (D.D.)2 He held the office of Bishop of Ely between 1864 and 1873.2 He held the office of Bishop of Winchester between 1873 and 1890.2

     He fought in the Boer War between 1899 and 1902, where he was mentioned in despatches and wounded.1 He gained the rank of Major in the North Irish Horse.1 He gained the rank of Major in the 1st Dragoons.1 He fought in the First World War between 1915 and 1918, serving in Flanders, where he was wounded again.1
