Gerhard V Graf von Jülich Graf von Bergheim was born in 1260.1 He was the son of Wilhelm IV Graf von Jülich and Richarde van Gelre. He married, firstly, Elizabeth van Brabant-Aarschot, daughter of Godfried d'Aarchot, Heer van Aarschot and Jeanne Isabeau de Vierzon, Dame de Vierzon, de Mézières-en-Brenne et de Rochecorbon, in 1295.1 He married, secondly, Margaretha van Gelre Vrouwe van Mechelen, daughter of Reinoud II 'de Zwarte' Hertog van Gelre Graaf van Zutphen and Sophie Berthout Vrouwe van Mechelen, in 1332.1 He died in April 1329.2 He was also reported to have died on 3 May 1335.1

Wilhelm IV Graf von Jülich was born in 1215.1 He was the son of Wilhelm III von Hengebach Graf von Jülich and Mathilde van Limburg.2 He married, firstly, Margareta van Gelre, daughter of Gerard III Graaf van Gelre en Zutphen and Margaretha van Brabant, on 12 March 1237.1 He married, secondly, Richarde van Gelre, daughter of Gerard III Graaf van Gelre en Zutphen and Margaretha van Brabant, in 1250.1 He died on 16 March 1278 at Aachen, GermanyG, killed in action.1
